My name is Cherise Jarvis, I am a mother, daughter, aunt, friend, and so much more.
I came up with ELAA while watching my own mother battle stage 4 colon cancer for five years. Our relationship during the majority of my life was challenging, but after taking my mother to Philadelphia for her cancer treatments, to her having a colostomy bag, and having her admitted to rehab after a lengthy hospital stay, I thought how wonderful it would be to honor her to the entire world while she was still here. Unfortunately, she passed before I was able to accomplish it.
But the opportunity to honor the women and people who have shaped our lives is here for those who want to celebrate them now—while they are still in the earthly realm or beyond. I believe the stories and special moments we share should be experienced by everyone, regardless of language, because we can all be inspired and encouraged by the lives of phenomenal people across the globe.
